OFF THE BIKE:

"In a nutshell: I smile—A LOT. I love to be outside. I love to play. I can’t think of anything more important than quality of life. I embrace my inner-nerd."

Erin moved to Chicago in 2008 to study Clinical Anaplastology, a field which combines biomedical science, art, and technology to create facial and somato (body) prostheses. (Sound familiar? Yep, this ride supports research and education in Anaplastology.) Since then, her work has involved clinical research, patient treatment, and education. In the past two years, Erin has directed her energy toward improving awareness about the field among the general public and health care providers.

Beyond the nerdery, you'll find her enjoying a beer and bluegrass, wearing mullet wigs made for kids, or arm wrestling Yo at CLLAW. Her alter ego: Calamity Pain.
